Veterans First will be volunteering to help Stave Ministries feed the homeless in Monroe Park the last Sunday of each month. In the past we have only done this three times per year. It was brought before the membership which voted to increase this to five times a year. We will start in March, do April skip May and then pick back up in June, July and finish in August. They also decided to only make one donation per year to this organization of $150.00.

December 2010 - Veterans First participated in the Wreaths Across America event in New York, VA. As a Major supporter and partner with WWA, we worked extra hard this year to help buy wreaths and participate in this year’s event. I hope to see more of you all there next year!

October 2010 - Veterans First had it's first Family Camp Out. This event was held for Veterans First members and family. This allowed us to get away and enjoy the company of one another. Our jr memebers got to learn about camping and had a blast playing games. These days, not alot of kids get to go camping and spend some time away from the TV/Internet. We will have our 2nd annual Family Camp Out in October 2011.

In December of 2010, we had our monthly meeting. Welcomed our newest member Scott ‘Silver Fox’ Farmer and to give rockers; to Dustin ‘Thumper’ Gordon. Mark Levin presented Hank with a item he had made in honor of Veterans First. We gave a veteran Mr. Almeida and his wife a Ford Explorer that had been donated by a member. Dennis’ Truck and Trailer Repair donated labor to make needed repairs, Advance Auto Parts donated required parts and Scott Farmer had it detailed inside and out before they took possession of the vehicle. Thank you to Dwayne and Doug for seeing this venture through to fruition. As a result of this action, Kevin and his family joined our chapter to help out other veterans in New York!!

On July 18, 2009, Veterans First members and friends rode to Amelia National Cemetery to honor Harold "Hal" Grundler who was killed during a ride to benefit children two years ago. An "Old School" ceremony was held while bagpipes played and bike engines rumbled. Hal was a Vietnam vet and friend who served his country well both home and abroad. He will be missed.
